BioNot Josh Dies. Or Joshua S. Porter. This is all fake, and I gain nothing from it. Actually I lose a lot of free time and life-points. Don't sue!

Joshua S. Porter, Age: 20, Gender: Male
Born and raised in Georgia on a large plantation "farm," he was the only child of the leader of a small cult. For most of his childhood, Joshua was treated like a prince by the workers / members of the society his mother and father had built from the ground up. Every night there was a religious service in the largest of the barns. All of the disciples sat on the hay-strewn floor to hear his father orate. Joshua and his mother sat alongside his father's right-hand man in front of the congregation. This man's name was Charles, but Josh called him Chuck as a term of endearment. Whenever Joshua's father was out tending the fields or generally managing the commune, Chuck would take care of Josh. The two were fast friends, for while Joshua considered his own father akin to a god figure, Chuck was always there for him on a day to day basis. Soon the young Joshua became infatuated with the man who had once been his babysitter.
Due to his position in the communal society, when Joshua came of marrying age he could choose whoever he wished to lead with him after his father retired. By this time, his father was ailing and young Joshua was forced to choose someone to lead with him at the age of only 14 years. He'd never had much interaction with the other children of the compound due to his heritage, and when they were paraded for him and sent to win his fancy, none could compare to his first love, his caretaker. When the day came for Josh to make a decision, he told his father that he would lead alongside Charles. His father consented, with the stipulation that Josh must take a wife as well, so as to continue the family bloodline.
Josh couldn't see himself with any of the young girls, so he asked for more time. It was granted, and Josh and Charles were married, at least in the eyes of the congregation. Josh was 14, Charles was 35. It's unclear as to whether the two had been lovers before this point, but afterward they became even more inseparable. Josh dutifully continued to search the congregation for a woman to bear his children, and eventually found a girl his own age named Abigail whom he became fast friends with and married in the fall of his 15th year.
Unfortunately they were never able to produce children together, as Abigail proved unready to bear a child in her body. After two miscarriages doctors told Joshua that she would never be able to carry on the bloodline. He was devastated. His mother and father were furious. They wanted him to leave her, but Joshua refused. He had two marriages so far and no prospects at continuing on the family bloodline.
This feud between Josh and his parents went on until his father died of old age a few months later and was buried illegally on the compound. His mother, always the perfect housewife, became a shut-in, blaming Joshua for the death of his father. In her eyes, his refusal to cement the Porter bloodline and the stress he put on his father was what had caused the man's death.
As the mantel of the prophet was passed from father to son, Joshua became very aware of the need for an heir to appease the followers and let them rest easy. Unfortunately, the minor upheaval caused by the changeover in power gave the feds an opening. Investigation began into the more morally ambiguous practices of the church. Not knowing his rights, Joshua floundered and was only saved from criminal charges by Charles, who stepped in for the boy and defended him on the basis that Josh was a victim of his upbringing, and hadn't been in charge long enough to have committed any crimes.
Unfortunately this defense landed Charles quickly in court as the state began investigation into the legality of him and Joshua's relationship. [[ to be continued~ ]]
